Summer Internship with ISTHARA

This summer, I took up an internship with ISTHARA, an organization specializing in co-living spaces and co-dining experiences. During my time in Hyderabad, I had the opportunity of doing data collection and competition analysis. In this blog, I will share the experiences and insights gained from my internship at ISTHARA.

Exploring Co-living Spaces:

In the first part of my internship, I had the opportunity to work at ISTHARA's office in Hyderabad. My primary task involved conducting field research on competition. Over the internship period, I visited more than 30 hostels, paying guest accommodations, and co-living properties across different locations in Hyderabad. The aim was to understand the facilities offered, types of occupancy, pricing structures, and applicable conditions. This firsthand research allowed me to gain valuable insights into the dynamics of the co-living market.

Understanding Co-Dining Experiences:

During the second part of my internship, I was tasked with primary data collection on various food courts in Hyderabad. I collected data on the technology utilized in these establishments and the range of brands and food options available. This part of my internship provided me with a deeper understanding of the food court landscape in Hyderabad and the evolving preferences of consumers.

I am immensely grateful to the management team at ISTHARA for providing me with this excellent learning opportunity. Their trust and support allowed me to gain practical experience and enhance my understanding of the industry. I would also like to express my gratitude to Megha Cheralathan, who was my fellow intern and provided guidance throughout my internship. Her encouragement played a significant role in my growth and development.

My summer internship with ISTHARA in Hyderabad was an enriching experience. Through my field research on co-living spaces and data collection on food courts, I gained valuable insights into the competitive landscape and consumer preferences in these sectors. This internship not only provided me with practical knowledge but also fostered personal growth and professional development.
